From January 2023 OECD rules will require digital platforms (Amazon, eBay etc) to collect details about their sellers identity and location. This will be reported annually to HMRC along with the seller’s income generated on the platform. The platforms must also give the sellers a summary of this information for inclusion in the seller’s tax figures.
