We have a vacancy for a trainee accountant working at our office in Eynsham.
About the position
– Trainee accountant with exposure to all roles of modern accountancy practice
– Working with a wide range of businesses, charities, social enterprises, cooperatives, community interest companies
– Good salary. Local commute paid for if travel by public transport
– Based at our office in Eynsham working in friendly hardworking team
– Modern well equipped office, major use of technology and professional resources
– Occasional requirement to travel by bus or train to clients and our meeting rooms in London
Training:
– Induction programme and foundation period gives grounding in accounting methods
– Ongoing training in all aspects of accounting, taxation, payroll, VAT, company law
– Training in use of software including integrated practice management, accounting, tax and
company administration software, various online bookkeeping packages, payroll
– Full ACCA or CIOT study package and support
– Appropriate training and support for professional Practical Experience Requirements
– Working with other qualified, part qualified and trainee accountants
– Training in carbon accounting and environmental issues
Work will include:
– Bookkeeping
– Payroll preparation
– VAT returns and checking
– Management accounts preparation
– Financial forecasts updating
– Company accounts and corporation tax returns
– Sole trader and partnership accounts and personal tax returns
Candidates must have:
– Degree level qualification
– Good number and computer skills including MS Office
– Communication skills including ability to take notes and write emails
– Ability and genuine willingness to work and progress in a quiet office
– Enthusiasm of working in a growing accountancy practice with view to long term career
– Based near or between Oxford or Witney
– Have an interest in environmental issues
